On the AT&T U-verse router it is called an application.

This screen is where we create the ports we will forward.

Scroll down to near the bottom of the page and under the “Edit firewall settings for this computer” you will see a link labelled “ Add a new user-defined application” click on it.

Next Click on “Applications, Pinholes and DMZ”.

Open a web browser and enter this will bring you to the routers Home Page.

On the AT&T U-verse router there is a sticker (usually silver in color) that has the “System Password” or “Device ID” make a note of that password. There is a password that we will need to complete the setup.

Now that we know the IP address of the camera will never change we can configure the ATT U-verse router.

If you are setting up a second or third camera you can simply use the next IP address in succession (192.168.1.21, 92.168.1.22, 192.168.1.23 etc…)

Primary DNS: This will also be the address of your AT&T U-verse router ( 192.168.1.254)Īs an example if your AT&T router has not been customized you can enter in the values shown below EXACTLY as you see them.

If the router is in its default AT&T setup the address will be 192.168.1.254.

Default Gateway: This is the IP address of your AT&T U-verse router.

The range is as follows: 192.168.1.20 – 192.168.1.40(the 192.168.1 portion will always remain the same simply use the last number of your choice.

On the AT&T U-verse router in its default configuration (which 99% are) a certain range of IP addresses can be used.

IP Address: This will is the address you will assign to the camera.

There are 4 values on the TCP/IP setup page below that we need to enter.

The address of your camera needs to stay the same for this process so we are going to change this dynamic IP address to a static (or fixed) IP address. When you setup your WiFi Baby camera using the 10 Step guide your camera was assigned a dynamic (or changing) IP address.In this guide we will demonstrate how to place a rule in your router that will allow your access to the camera through that firewall. The AT&T U-verse routers are in addition a firewall, so they will block all attempts to access your camera from outside your home network. There are some additional steps needed to allow access to your camera from outside you home WiFi Network.
